Natural History of Switzerland and the Swiss Alps
From the Bodensee/Lake of Konstanz to the Eiger, Monch, Jungfrau and Matterhorn, this course will introduce students to the forests and alpine ecology of arguably the most beautiful mountain landscapes in the world. Switzerland has over 600 nature reserves, one National Park and the longest alpine glacier in Europe, the Grosser Aletschgletscher. Learn about these and more in this required preparatory course to planned field classes to Switzerland in June and July 2012.
