The philosophy of  Merritt College Financial Aid Office is that every student should have access to the educational experience at Merritt College who so desires.

Our mission is to make funds available to assist eligible students who do not have the resources to attend college, and who will benefit from a post secondary education.

All financial aid at Merritt College is administered, funded and regulated in accordance with Federal, State, Local agencies, Districts, and the College.

Applying for financial aid is not meant to be confusing, or make you feel intimidated by the system. Do not let it discourage you, go after your fair share of the funds that are available. It is important to remember that many rules associated with applying for aid have been developed to make sure you are treated fairly and equitably, and to also guarantee that you take responsibility toward successfully completing your goal.

We believe that this website will provide you with an overview of our financial aid programs, the process by which aid is awarded and forms that you can print out.
