Fitness Center Hours: MTWTH- 6:00am-7:00pm, Friday - 6:00am-4:00pm
Course Description
This class is for students to have an opportunity to develop their fitness. This includes conditioning with exercises and apparatus with emphasis on overall improvement of the cardiovascular system.
Activities focus on using life bicycles, treadmills, life fitness machines (18 stations), dumbbells, and barbells. This class is open to all levels: beginning, intermediate and advanced.
Course Objectives
v Develop a positive attitude toward physical fitness and its benefits toward developing a healthy body.
v To understand that regular exercise improves self-concept and well-being reduces stress, and helps maintain proper body weight.
v Improve the quality of life through physical fitness.
Dress for Class
v You must wear athletic shoes. No street shoes, sandals or open toed shoes.
v You must wear athletic clothes: sweatpants, shorts, tights and t-shirts are acceptable. Jeans are not .
Computer Sign In –Out
v Sign in and out every time you leave the Fitness Center to receive the correct hours.
The abuse of this rule will cause a student to be dropped from the class.
v Not signing out, consequences are no credit for that day.
All hours have to be collected by December 14th.
