I am a strong believer in research based instruction especially at the basic skills level. My educational background gives me the expertise to bring the most effective teaching methods to my classroom to facilitate learning composition and reading skills. I combine that element with a love of diverse literature and a focus on student-centered learning. I especially value the student experience not only because I was myself a re-entry student not so very long ago, but also because I firmly believe in the intrinsic worth of each and every student.
