I was born in Chile and educated in the United States. I attended Merritt and Laney College. I earned a degree in History from the UC Berkeley; a Master’s in Latin American Studies from Stanford University, and I am presently a Ph. D. candidate in Modern Thought and Literature at Stanford.
I recently co-directed and produced the documentary “Archeology of Memory Villa Grimaldi”. "Archeology of Memory: Villa Grimaldi” Premiered October 11, 2009 on PBS WORLD
The documentary won the “Audience Award” at Mill Valley on 2008; “Special Jury Prize for Films on the Arts ” at the Mendocino Film Festival (2009); selected among the “Ten Best Films “at the Vancouver International Film Fest, 2008; nominated and finalist for the "International Documentary Wards" (IDA).
I am also a musician /composer and writer who has created, performed, taught and recorded Latin American music for over thirty years. More info about my work :http://www.archeologyofmemory.org/
