AA: College of Marin (1980); BA in Anthropology: San Francisco State University (1984); MA in Anthropology: San Francisco State University (1990).  I have taught at Anthropology at Merrrit since 1990.  As Director of the Merritt Anthropology Field School I raised funds to take Merritt students to South Africa (1996), and to Mexico (1998, 1999). Over the past 10 years I have engaged in solidarity activism with the Haiti Action Committee and have traveled to Haiti 3 times.  During the 1980s and 1990s I  engaged in solidarity activism in El Salvador and in Nicaragua.
